Hello I purchased a computer about two years ago. with ms xp installed
and with a disk.  I lost the disk and would like to reinstall xp
software. the copy I lost is on the computer I will be formatting.
when I go to control-system the xp disk is registered in my name and

I need help ! When I try defragmenting my disk (C:), or when I try to install
Windows Defender I receive the blue screen with the message BAD_POOL_HEADER
0X00000019 (0X00000020, 0X827D4000, 0X827D4218, 0X0A430000).

I have a problem with IE 7 where it hangs when I visit certain sites. To

Thursday morning lightening, accompanied by a terrific bang tripped my home

I install new MB and tryed to do a repair install. Windows XP would not let
me. I follow what was told to me and try to do a repair though repair console
but that fall to work. So I got a new drive and did a clean install. I have

at my work place, we have a problem with permissions to install programs on
one pc, i have fresh installed xp pro, witch is connected with 2 other pc's
to windows 2003 server, when i try and install some softwares like
regcleaner, or other maintenance stuff, i get a error messege ...

I have XP Pro and having some LAN probs..
Box 1 can access other XP box's dirs and files which are shared but they can't
access Box 1 dirs files which are also shared.  It was okay for 3 years so not
sure what it is.  Can get to the i'net okay through Gateway hub.

I use Firefox as my default browser but sometimes I have to use IE7 when
some pages aren't displayed properly.  I find all the time that when do
have to use IE7 it loads much, much more slowly than Firefox.  Anyone
any ideas why this should be ?

Is it OK to install a master hard drive with Windows XP taken from a fried
computer into a new computer with different hardware??  I did a backup in
early June, but would like to rescue a few items from it before I do a new
