I have read a couple of articles about the Active Directory feature.
However I wonder wether AD is only useful in LANs with a Domain controller resp. server.
When I connect a couple of computers as Workgroup (=NOT Domain !) then AD seems to me not
applicable.  Is this correct ?

My computer has suddenly developed a problem with opening files from the
recently used file list. If I click on a file nothing happens for about 3
mins. If I open Word or Excel first and then open the file it is as quick as
normal.

I believe I may have more than one copy of xp on my hard drive.  I show 7.33
GB for Windows on my desktop and 4.5 GB on my laptop.

I know how to access the program events list and associate whichever sound
file I want, that part is easy.
