Late last evening as my PC was shutting down, it downloaded and installed
three new updates from MS.

I don't know when this happened, but I just noticed that in my control
panels to add/delete, there are only 5 programs in there, where under
programs I have 30 programs.  I used to have them all in control panel and I
have no idea when or what happened to them.  I don't remember ...

When the administrator was changed on a computer with XP Pro all the data
files, email files and email address book were lost.  Is this the effect when
