Does Windows have a live CD? Can you make one with Vista?

I have Win xp pro installed and it has been functioning, well the way

My XP Home CD (original) has died...sorta. It's stopped reading at about 35%
of the way through. I tried to create an ISO to restore using Nero but Nero
can't go beyond the 35% mark either. Any suggestions? I HATE being without
the CD! If anything happened and my restore points ...

All the profiles have some how been corrupt. It says that it cant find the
profile and you will log in with the temp profile. Even the Administrator
account profile is corrupt. I've tried to create a new account with admin
rights, but same thing accours (cant find the profile), ...

Whenever I right click on a document or spreadsheet in Explorer (XP SP2)
there is an interminable delay. The file doesn't have to be large. This is a
new phenomenon. How do I rectify it?

Our local social club was given a fairly modern PC (using XP) by someone who

and bought a new hard drive today. How do I get windows xp ont o the new hard
drive? What do I need and where do I get it from (if I need a cd)?

Suddenly the option to be able to pin a program in the program list off of
the start menu is missing. I've looked in the knowledge base but can find no
specific reference to this. This is a new one on me. Does any MVP know how

I have a machine with several OSes installed on a single SATA disk
(XP, Vista, Linux), and in updating a Linux distribution, I somehow
screwed up my boot loaders.  Previously, I had a grub loader, Vista's
loader, and XP's loader all playing nicely together in order to boot

I am using a Compaq Presario R3000, that has a Broadcom internal wireless
card. I think that the driver causes a BSOD when I startup the computer from
