Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration
information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)  How do I

Hi, not sure if any of you good folk can help me out but i've done
something quite stupid on my pc. I got a new mouse today, a V220
Logitech cordless optical mouse, works great on my laptop, however i
thought id try it on my desktop, bad idea. It kept coming up with

As the heading says  - anytime I invoke the task manager (ctrl-alt-delete)
the only thing I get is a screen showing the running processes.
I don't have the tabs at the top showing processor usage, network usage,
etc.

I bought and installed a 2nd hard drive (thought the original was crashing)
and installed XP.   I have  XP on both C and D drives now.  I went to format
the original drive because I don't need 2 instances of XP on my computer.  I
cannot format the drive since the "system" files ...

After removing Vista from one of our machines (Gateway M465E), I
installed Windows XP only to find that there is no audio device

Keep getting blue screen crashes. In device mgr I have a warning yellow sign

so i was add/removing a google toolbar and it said to restart...so i did when
i logged back in there was no desktop....like no icons or blue bar at the
bottom ot start button...the only way i fond to open things is to
ctrl+alt+del the open task manager go into file and hit new ...

Looks like I am joining the masses who lose the cursor for entering a
user's password after another user logs off.  I can select a user, but
there is no cursor in the password box and typing on the keyboard does
