All administrators can login without problem but all other users get error
message upon hitting the enter key or the arrow icon.
The error message looked like "Windows explorer Failed to initialize

I restored the emachine's xp home on one single partition of the master
drive,
I then connected the 2nd drive as slave. the bad drive originally was the

At certain operations I get a script error message with the option "Do
you want to debug?".  If I choose Yes, I'm put thru a series of
windows which I don't understand & I don't know what to do with them.
If I choose NO, I can't complete the operation I want.  Where do I get

Hi. I'm running Windows XP (Home) on a Dell Inspiron laptop with a CD/DVD-W
drive. I was working in Windows Explorer and tried to copy a large folder of
irreplacible photos (jpgs) to a CD-R for safekeeping.
When I right-clicked on the folder I wasn't given the option of copying ...

I have no idea what I did but.......I have hundreds of files of thumb-nail
photos bunched into single files and I can't get the single pictures out.  
Each file contains 5 to 20 individual photos.  Sort of like a film strip all
in one.  What did I do and how can I fix it?

I don't know which came first, but i remember clicking to install ms updates.
 Also, someone i know sent me a song mp3 file.downloaded it on my yahoo
emails (which has a scan before downloading a file).  
My computer showed that my firewall was off (not normal).  I tried to turn

What can I do to speed up my computer.  I have talked to my TimeWarner
provider, and they have concluded the it's not their service, it's my
computer.  It is very slow starting up to get to the internet.  Any
suggestions???

I am trying to get a controller to work with my game on computer. It is a
playstation type remote i have the CD for and shows as installed and does
work. But not with my game I am running windows home xp on a hewlitt packard
laptop. I went to properties  and got this to go to:

I started my computer today and my desktop is not appearing. I have the wall
paper but I cannot access any of my program. Right-clicking the mouse on the
desktop doesn't do any thing, neither does the left-clicking. I still can

when I login with a particular user ID, I get explorer can't initialize (or
something like that), click to close.
then I got that windows xp background, a lot of disk activity but no windows
takes bar, no desktop icon, just a non responsive system
