Sometimes, I can't delete a folder,  mainly happens when there have images
in the folder.
It appears it's because of a 'hidden file' called 'Thumbs.db'.
I can unhide this file allowing me to delete the folder but what is it for,

On my 40GB HDD, I have 6GB of .mso files. Is there a program that can scan
and delete any unneeded .msp files?
That's  20% of my drive used by files that are rarely used, many I am sure

Evey time when my XP pro detects that there is a microsoft update it

MY local computer guy told me I could attempt to fix corrupted files by
inserting the Windows disk, closing the “Welcome to…” window,
start/run/typing sfx /scannow  and clicking OK.  For me, this procedure
