I was restoring to an earlier date and when the computer restarted - windows
would not open.
error msg:  Windows could not start because the following file is missing or
corrupt:  system32\drivers\Ntfs.sys

About a week ago, i was trying to burn a cd and even when the system is idle,

Computer reboots itself after being off for about a minute or two. I did
disable "automatic restart on system failure" but I've not been able to find
a stop error report.
I thought this problem was corrected but it seem to have returned.

We use roaming profiles.
When an old server is offline, users get a blue screen (no desktop) after
logging in.
All the old shares were created on the newer server.

I had to reinstall XP.  Previously installed applications are still on the
hard drive but won't run.  Is there any way short of reinstalling them to
reactivate them?

Well basically when I start up my computer, it starts to load XP for 1
second, then I just get the blue screen of death with the error message

After installation of the mapping software (including driver updates) for my
Saitek X45 joystick, x and y axis of the stick will not function properly in
any program.
