Here's a crazy problem, I'm trying to reinstall windows, but it doesn't
recognize either of my internal hdds.
Windows will boot fine, but when I try to reinstall it, none of my internal
drives will appear in the disk selection menu. External USB drives and memory

I had XP Home installed on first hard drive, third partition (HD 0,
Part 2). I had a problem with it probably caused by wrong permissions
accidentally set up in the WINDOWS folder. A repair install failed

Help..In trying to assign another user administration privileges my
Administrator account deletes along with everything on it.
I have restored My account with system restore (phew) but still need to
assign another user the admin rights.

Hi
I have formatted my C Drive and reinstalled XP. All working fine, all
the drivers back on still fine. Went online and started installing all
the Windows XP updates. Problems begin with Service Pack 1. After

Each time I boot up message appears saying "found new hardware" for a printer
that is working and printing on the system.   Any way to stop the message
from appearing?  
FYI: In "printers and faxes" only one icon of the printer (LexmarkE210)

I have a system I have built. I have an Intel extreme MoB and dual core 2.4.
I am using a seagate 400gb/7200.10 IDE hard drive and two cdrom drives (one
is a slave, the other is a SATA) Windows Xp begins as normal, formats the
drive and goes into the install untill it reboots ...

When i change a user account from administrator to user, after loging into
that account a box appears with "fAIL". If i switch the account back to
administrator this fAIL box does not appear. Any suggestions or help would be

So my cpu sound just randomly went out. I know it's not the speakers
because i pluged my ipod into them and they work fine. I've been to
numerous help forums i've used numerous files that "could be missing".

I just installed windows xp from cd and i am not getting a ip address which
led me to look at my services. All the services except 3 or 4 of that that
should start automatically are not. Any reason why they are not especially
since its a clean install.
