Lately on both startup and shutdown Windows has been inserting a dialog box in the procedure such that either operation is stopped until I take some sort of action. Startup asks for a password ( I have not entered one) but will continue

When an application crashes and you get the Win App Error Dialog, you can view a "details" text file. It shows the file is on your drive. @#!@#!! Microsoft deletes this file when you close the dialog. Is there a way to prevent the "details" text file from being deleted?

I don't know what I did, but when I open some of the shortcuts on my desktop, the window for that particular program no longer fits the entire monitor. I maximize but clicking on the maximize button, but the next time I open it up, it is small again.
