I have a file that is being added to the Desktop on every start.
Bioshoch.pdf.  After several starts, I have several copies.  I can delete
them all, inlcuding the original file, but the process continues.  Soon I
again have multiple copies on the desktop.

Hi,.... have WXP2 with IE7....had a power outage when I was surfin the net,
power was restored moments later but my PC seems to be "hanging?". It seems

Hello, All!
I don't seem to visit many websites that use Java but I think
the problem arose after I updated from IE6. A new website brings
up a message 'Java Runtime Environment could not be loaded.' It

System Restore can not create new restore points and there are no old restore
points shown on the calendar.
I have verified that there is enough space alocated for the System Restore.

I have just reformatted and setup WinXP Pro SP2 (version 5.1.2600 and loaded
up most of my usual software; and set up for 3 family users.
The problem is when you click on the logoff button absolutely nothing
happens (no error msge or anthing) and have to use CTRL ALT DEL to logoff ...

I have a computer running with XP Home SP2. The internet time option is
disabled, grayed out. I have been looking around, but the only answer that I
can find is if the computer is part of a domain, but mine is not. I have a

If I use Windows XP Pro's backup utility to create a complete backup,
can I then configure 2 SATA drives as RAID 0 and restore the image to
that? Or will I have to completely reinstall everything after setting
up the RAID 0?

i have DUAL boot for XP and VISTA.
I lost the ability to boot into VISTA  so used the VISTA dvd to repair it ,
now i cant boot into XP as it cannot find the  required files,  yet XP is
there and  i cant boot into it.

I have recently carried out some 'upgrades' to my machine and now it
occasionally reboots for no obvious reason.  The 'upgrades' include
increasing RAM from 1 to 2MB, changing a HDD from 80GB to 320GB and the
addition of a PCI SATA Card.  The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 ...
