Just when I thought I knew everything about computers and keeping them clean
and nice and hunky dorie it's all messed up and I can't fix it:

i just installed  Microsoft Windows XP Home With SP2B 1 Pack - OEM on a new
computer and unlike my old computer(which came with windows xp)
im getting a black screen a unresponsive mouse pointer where it normaly says
welcome right before it shows the user select screen that lasts ...

I had to do a repair install of Windows XP MCE and now no updates
install. No special message other than a problem has prevented updates
from installing. Can some one please help?

At startup I get this message - Error Loading

Do I need this? If I do where can I get it, I don't have any cds or anything
(second hand). If I don't need it how do I get rid of the message?

I have a dual boot setup on my machine . When I boot to XP Pro 64 bit
edition, in the task manager "performance" window I show 2 CPUs.
When I boot to XP Home Edition (Service Pack 2) it shows only 1 CPU(In
Device manager it shows 2 processors)!

I have an HP Notebook with (Microsoft Word 2003) and I'm in to the program
and write up a letter or some bid on a job, and I hit the save button. Later,
I go up to (open) so I can retreive a particular document, it says "the file

Can anyone please help me, when outlook express gets to receiving mail
for pop gmail, it gets 5 of 18 emails then halts and eventually drops
out, but hese are the same emails it has already sent, time and time
again, even when I have archived all messages in me gmail home page

I keep trying to run chkdsk but when i restart it tells me the scan is
cancelled. Can anybody tell me why please. It is my c drive it has errors.
