   Ran into an interesting problem here.
   For troubleshooting purposes I am trying to connect to an FTP site using
the windows command line. Using a test computer (same system model and
network using the same routes) I can connect fine to any FTP site and

I am having trouble figuring out how  to get my start menu to re-appear.  I
have 3 identities on my computer, and the start menu bar has dissappeared
from all 3, but when I added a new user, the start bar was present.  Any
ideas about what is wrong?

when I check it in system info I get 384MB of memory, have run memtest-86

My Windows XP desktop startup gets stuck on the black screen with the
scrolling progress bar.  The progress bar keeps scrolling but I never
get to the Logon screen.

So when you 'Upgrade' an XP machine with Vista, Vista insists that XP be
installed on the machine as Microsoft says the licensing is per machine and

Windows XP is having a problem with USB flash drives on my system.  When I
plug them in they are assigned a drive letter, but if I try to open them up I
get a "disk not formatted" error.

I have installed XP on C drive and chkdsk has found an unreadable file record
segment on the F drive (a Raid array). After chkdsk reports the error, the
system reboots. How do I fix this please? I have read that chkdsk /f can take

Due to "unsafe" removal from an XP computer, I now have a corrupted 1Gb
