For some unknown reason the HP folder on my PC opens every time I boot the damn thing up. It is annoying rather than disruptive but I would like to get rid of it. I have run Startup Tracker 3 and the results are below. Any ideas on how to fix it are very appreciated;

We have been using xcopy with the switches to perform backups to an external usb hard drive. It backups up a number of files except Outlook pst files, etc When analysing further, the problem is to do with sharing violation.

After reformatting the HD and reinstalling XP, I find that my Inspiron laptop doesn't have Stand By or Hibernate options. When I close the lid and re-open it it's nonresponsive on a black screen until I turn it off with the Power button.
