I don't know if anyone has asked this question...a couple of months ago, to
protect my computer, I entered a password for startup.  I am using Windows XP
Home Edition.  I enter the password I created and now many, many, many times

I have recently reformatted my hard drive and re installed windows xp home.
I have done all the updates but have a problem with internet explorer.
It seems to time out at 10 - 15 minutes and say it can't find server but my
IPS is connected.

i have a problem. i just installed two servers both acting as dhcp servers.
one gives ips in the range of 192.168.0.x and the other 192.168.1.x. they

Every time I try to print any of my emails out of 'Outlook Express', I get
an "Internet Explorer Script Error" screen that says an error has occurred
in the script on this page.  In the detail information, it shows:

1020 lasejet). A reboot often resolves the problem, but this is not a
desireable solution as it will drop the printer again after a short period.

There used to be a panel that appeared on the left side of explorer screens
when I had selected an item in the window, containing a number of options
such as send to, copy to, and like that.  Apparently, I have disabled it

I use IE6 with XP Home and SP2.
When I try to open .MOV files, using Media Player Classic, IE prevents the
file from opening, with the message "To protect your security IE has
restricted this file from showing active content...".

the taskbar which gives approximate power reserves when hovered over!
This icon however does not always display & I now find it as a "past item"

Re: Anti spyware, each program seems to have its own system restore just as
windows does.
Should all be activated or none and just depend upon windows?

Is there any way I can download all the XP hotfixes for installation on
another XP machine ? Only dial-up is available on that machine and the
updates take way too long to download!
I'm using Vista so can't get XP updates
