I have a problem on my XP Professional SP2 system.
When I try and open the "Printers and Faxes" folder in Control Panel
(or any of the shortcuts to it from other places) I just get an
hourglass for a long while and then nothing.

When booting up PC, I get to enter password screen, put in password then it
goes back to enter password screen. I can't get past this screen to get into
windows. It's driving me mad!

My elderly brother-in-law has a Win98 pc and wants to transfer his My
Documents, his spred sheets and other data files to his newly acquired
Win XP. He is 800 miles from me and asked if I could help.

I am working on a computer with Windows Home. It was locking up on start up
(It would lock up at the "Windows is starting" screen. I put in the Windows

(Sometimes) when I boot up, I see the Windows logo with the blue progress

I presently have explorer 6 I want to upgrade to 7 but I can't get service
pack 2 to download everytime it tries thru my updates it stops when it gets
to it and does not load it. what canI do to get it to download, I really need
this for school.

when my computer starts up, it responds to any command from the keyboard for
th BIOS or Boot device, however, when windows loads, the mouse and keyboard
do not work.  Any suggestions please?
