Often when you alter a file association not only does that program open it in the future it also alters the icon that goes with it. I have files that have been altered by changing the file association but the icon hasn't changed. How do I change the icon?

Cannot get the question pop-up, so have posted this as a comment.. From boot, the pc no longer goes to profiles log in page, but goes to windows log in. Once windows logged in, the pc goes to the home page but then immediately returns to the log in page.........help??
