Many web pages are bright white. Many times, it bothers me when I view them.
Is there software that addresses and solves this problem? If so, what is it
(are they)?

my pc crashed sat night and my daughter had to re-install windows xp
professional.
When everything was all done I have no sound the devise manager says it's
not installed. I clicked on re-unstall driver and it comes up saying driver

For some reason this process "  KAVSVC.EXE  "  is sucking and average of
75-94% of my total CPU and i don't know what it is and i cant terminate it .
a little info on it or what it is would be nice thanks.

Until recently my xp cd writing was working well. I now find that it gets to
the point of writing to the cd, starts the process and then n a split second
the window and message appear "cannot complete the cd writing wizard" "ther
was an error in the writing process..." etc etc.

The bluescreen has already forced me to reinstall windows once after
system failure. wiped everything. now the bluescreen is back and i cant
keep the comp running for more than 10mins!!! someone please help! any
help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!  =(

what happens to deleted files? where do they go after you empty your
recycle bin? Is their away to wipe these files away without having to
reinstall everything?

I am using Internet Explorer 7 with Windows XP Home SP2.
Yesterday I shrank the IE windows to enable me to view 2 pages at  the same
time.
Now everytime I open Internet Explorer, it opens at half size.

A friend emailed me to ask if she should install Service Pack 3.  What
Service Pack 3 has been released recently?  Has XP been released?

I am a teacher with xp 2 sp.
a kid ( i don't know who) messed with the computer and now the display is90
degrees rotated counter clockwise.
What do I do to correct this?

I am running XP Media edition with IE7 and just lately I can't open the IE it
takes about 4 to 5 min. to open but when it does there is no problem until it
tries to open a new page, then the same thing happens. While I am waiting, a
box saying Regsvr32

It seems as if I am in Trouble.  My DVD/CD RW drive and windows explorer.  
When I place a CD to install, it seems to work, and to play an audio as well
it seems to work.  Now when i wish to explore the CD or DVD it shows in the
explorer window a copy of the desktop files and not ...

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 PC. (XP Home)
A while back the icon for the dive just disappeared from the system.
