On windows task manager, under processes, there are several program listed.
I can end processes I choose. Which processes can I end -- without my having
to restart my computer?

I am stuck in a loop... Keyboard and Mouse fail at Windows login screen,
which requires password for my account, no pass for Guest.
Once the login screen appears the cursor remains "frozen" center of the
screen. I cannot 'tab' or highlight to either icon with either device.

Has anyone had a problem like this before?  This computer is a XP
Professional which is up-to-date on all Microsoft updates.
Under Control Panel-Internet Options-General Tab-Browsing History-
Settings, when I select view objects, the open with dialog box opens

On a completely updated current version of windows xp pro, the yellow
infomration bar will not appear when I try to use something that needs
to install activex controls.  I have racked my brain trying to get
thsi thing to show up.  I have adjust my secrity settings, checked off

I am trying to use a limited account for security purposes. I had Outlook
Express set up just the way I wanted it, in my administrative account, and I
would like to import those same settings to my limited account.
Is there a simple way to do this? Must I start from scratch and ...

Im trying to install an external harddrive to a laptop, i left it for a about
30 minutes but nothing happened so i went into the add new hardware wizard it
says it is in the middle of an installation and i will have to wait so i
unplugged the usb and waited and nothing happened. ...

Im trying to make a movie for a class at school.  The movie is completed, but
every time I try to play the movie there are a few points were it will stop
playing every time.  I have to press play again to get it going.  Then I
tried to save the movie and it couldn't save past the ...

When i try and play games i keep getting a message that says "Out of memory
at line: 56"  What is that and is there any way to fix it??

Hi there! I'm having the following problem:
My WinXP Pro startup goes on normaly until it asks me to choose my user
account and I enter my password.
Immediatly after entering my password, when XP should log in, it does logoff

I have a back-up CDRW but don't recall how I did that one. It's time to do
it, I think, of should I do it...
Have XP Pro, Office 2003, all updates current, Windows Firewall ON, Avast,
Ad Aware (just removed Spybot b/c I'm blind and couldn't control it easily

ALt CTRL DEL     Taskmgr comes up , But the only thing there besides the
list of files runing  is "END PROCESS Button"  . There are No Buttons on
the Top.
What went Wrong ?

My friend is considering buying a Toshiba laptop, the U3000-13u, with
a T5250 processor.  It comes with VISTA and he plans to install XP on
it instead.  Will the XP drivers work with this model?

My anti-virus program tells me shell32.dll has changed. WHat does that mean
and what should I do about it?

My taskbar has disappeared.  It only shows the time in the right lower
corner.  I need to get it back working. At some point, I may have
accidentally changed the registry but I have no idea what I changed to
make it disappear.

need help please with an error message that comes up on my computer when I
start or restart my computer the error message is: c:\Program
Files\qtsdijyr\qdlglan.dll
