Is there a way to disable standby or prevent the laptop from requesting the user's password after closing the laptop lid. Users who use the laptops for presentations are not the ones who initially sign in. It is a new HP laptop. There are no power settings in BIOS.

I received an "error message" regarding security, to install "Performance Optomizer". It claimed to be from microsoft but the program was by "SellMoSoftInc", which seemed odd to me. I did not install it fearing that is was not from microsoft.

When I do a Ctrl/Alt-delete, I do NOT get the first Page of the Task Bar showing what applications are running. It always opens at the Processes page showing processes and the memory being used by the individul processes.

Just about everything keeps it's minimal size when I open it. However, only on this machine, does Outlook not respond to resizing. It will resize manually, but continues to open new messages to a full width on a wide-screen monitor.
