Since the latest patches in december, my pc will not shutdown unless I physically turn it off. It hangs on saving your settings. Can you help please. I'm using XP pro SP2

Cannot locate recycle bin, it completely disappeared. Went through all programs, all files. Cannot empty either cause its not anywhere to see.

I 've noticed that the "longterm" ( more than 2 hrs ) presence of the sites on the screen causes sudden close of IE7 with a message to Microsoft . I usually use 2 to 4 tabs open . I have the suspicion is a low memory problem but i'm not sure at all.

HP Pavilion 3 years old. 80 gig HD free; 1 Gig RAM For obvious reasons, I had to reformat my HD and reinstall XP pro. Installed all drivers etc. Downloaded SP2 but can't install it. Installation process begins and freezes at 'Checking product key'.

I'm running XP. I had to use the Recovery Disks a few weeks ago when my system went loopy. Now I'm trying to download Apple's iTunes for new iPod. When I go to run it after the download completes, the system tries to get Windows Installer. I get a message:
