One of my XP home boxes, for some reason, stopped refreshing when opening a folder or deleting files
from a folder, or deleting a folder etc.  I have to constantly hit F5 to manually refresh the file
explorer.  I've looked but don't see any settings to refresh automatically like it ...

Is there any way to assign the drive letter of my hard drive as "C" during
installation of Windows XP Home Edition?  I understand that this OS works
best when the hard drive is designated as "C," and for some reason this does
not happen when I install it.

When I try to send an e-mail from anywhere, outlook express, yahoo, hotmail
ect..
It says something about bad connection. What does that mean and what do I
need to do to fix it?

Today I was helping a friend update the NVIDIA display and chipset drivers on
his computer.  I uninstalled the drivers and then ran Driver Sweeper in Safe
Mode to cleanup any leftovers from the old drivers.  After that the system
would not reboot but started the endless failure ...

I just re-installed XP Pro and Service Pack 2 on my computer, and then
downloaded all the critical updates for it.  Now, when I open the control
panel, I can't get "Add or Remove Programs" to open.  I click on it and
nothing happens.  Nothing.  No error messages or anything.  ...

Recently my windows have been blinking on and off for no apparent reaosn, is
there a setting i can disble this? If im typing somthing up in word, out of
no where it blinks, and puts my cursor at the begining of the page, and this
happenes to all types of windows and apps.

Hi. I am about to start a business reselling refurbished
ex-government/corporate computers. Each computer has an indivudial OEM XP
Home or Pro license. I intend to install XP on each computer using a genuine
(holographic) XP disk, and use the license on each computer to activate

CD Drive F is showing as a 3rd drive in Explorer, but in device manager there
are only 2 drives showing. What is causing this phantom CD Drive to show up?

My pc has suddenly started to go really slow. It takes 50 minutes from
