Trying to help a friend with laptop which won't boot properly.
Whether selecting Start Windows Normally, Safe Mode or Last known
good configuration, system attempts to start Windows, a BSOD error
message flashes up, too quickly to read and immediately system

I currently have 4 gigs of ram on my s5000xvn motherboard.  Everything has
been running fine for more that a year.  I just purchased 4 more gigs of ram.
So I have four 2gig sticks.  Sloted A1, B1, C1 and D1.

I have used Corel's spreadsheet program Quattro Pro without a problem for a

Hello, I am trying get my taskbar icons to group together without glomming.
On my previous PC's, when I selected "Group Similar Taskbar buttons" in the
taskbar properties window, they would group together without glomming into
one icon.

Every time I start the computer, sign in, receive a black screen momentarly
with Normal mode printed as if I pressed F8.
How do I eliminate the black screen appearing?

When I delete old emails including sent/received emails and also from the
deleted folder from OE v6 my PC goes to safe mode, using Winxp sp2.
any thoughts on how to sort this.

AFAIK I have made no system changes since the last device I installed (an
IRDA receiver).  I have just bought a new printer - a Mitsi dye-sub -  and I
am having problems installing it.  Whichever path I go down I end up with
the message:

I would like to copy my data (music and pictures) to a flash drive and would
like to transfer after clean install of XP. Could someone help me whether I
