I've bought an external 300Gig hard drive ("My Book") I'm trying to create
my 1st Total Backup, using Microsofts own backup utility. However, partway
through it comes up with an error message, saying I can't backup more than
40Gig??

I have my nephew's pc here and he wants to up grade the hardware. I
have everything but the harddive here so I moved the hard drive from
the HP computer to the one I built. Windows started up just fine but
I can't log in. A message comes up saying, "This version of Windows

What is ASP .Net State Service and .Net Framework?  Is this needed on my
computer.  I do not develop programs.  There are updates for .Net Framework
and the updates will not install.  Should I un-install this program?  If so,
How?  The add-remove in control panel will not remove it.

I posted this once before but I cant find it now!
I moved "my pictures" to a networked drive to save disk space on my laptop.
Now I can no longer access that drive. So when I try to install new software
i get an error msg that says "can't access\\drive\c\miks stuff\my pictures"

I have lost the facility to reduce the file size of photos for emailing, i.e.
when I select a photo in 'My Pictures' then click on 'Email this picture', I
no longer get the dialogue box giving me the option to reduce the file size.
I'm using XP HE, and my email is via Outlook ...

I recently upgraded my system to new Mobo and CPU and HDD.  Now windows will
not boot.  I get to the Windows LOGO screen and the the system reboots.  Will

inch LCD wide screen running at a resolution of 1680 x 1050 connected to the

My daughter has suddenly lost her ability to access the Web on
her XP system. She is using a dial-up connection, and even though
