When my computer starts up, I get the following error message: "Error: Access violation at 0x7C918FEA (tried to write to 0x01C86A83), program terminated." The Event Viewer shows an error with source crypt32. (eight in a row, event 8)

It then terminates program. I have everything scanned for viruses and spyware. Only happens in downloadable games from Pogo.com Help please. Getting extremely annoying.

Windows XP, SP2 interrupted by electric storm. On restart "chkdsk" ran and completed. NOW, every time the computer is booted, "chkdsk" reruns and everything seems to run fine. How do I prevent "chkdsk" from running every time I boot my machine ? Any help will be appreciated! ...
