I am trying to install a new printer and I am getting a message saying that I
do not have "usb.inf" file, version "5.1.2600.0" and it is on the windows
disc which I do not have. Can anyone suggest where I can obtain this file?

i found some indications that winword can be started w/ a stated template.  i
made a simple template called bigfonts.dot and saved it, it only sets the

When I press Ctrl-Alt-Del, the tab at the bottom of the screen appears, but
there is no application window.  I can right click on the tab, and all the
options are there, but nothing I do will make the window appear.  The same is

Help - system had crashed - lost all audio. Uninstalled sound card and

When I exited an online game I play habitually, got a blue screen w/writing
that flashed, then system rebooted itself. Got message that fatal error had

I have Windows XP Service pack 2.  I have IE 7. Lately when I click on
a link in another program I get to the browser, but it opens a blank
page.  If I click on my home page it will go there.
Why does it open a blank page instead of going to the link web site.

Can anyone help, having problems when installing software on XP SP2. Tried to
instal sony program and installshield just hangs just prior to finishing.
Also when trying to install norton systemworks - error 1901 error attempting

To the right of the taskbar which is dark blue I have quite a number of
shortcut icons - just to the left of the system time (clock).  At some point
(and not at my own choosing), these icons double-decked themselves.
How do I get them back to a single deck?

I have a need to install the Computer Browser related hotfix for KB942367
across an AD Domain. The hotfix is an .exe and to be able to install it
across the domain I need a .msi file.

Does anyone know why my icons in my URL box never match the webpage I'm on?
For example, if I go onto Google the icon displayed before
http://google.co.uk shows as the bbc.  It doesn't stop me from using the
internet, its just bugging me.  I'm using XP Home which is up to date ...

i am trying to use shellexec to print with and can call an editor to do so.  
the problem is i cant figure how to change fonts for the printout, and
thought maybe there is a way to pass the font to notepad or wordpad when
opening it.
