Hi, I encountered this problem in my computer where there is an error code
1608 ("Install driver encountered problem"). It said " unable to create

Working on a friend's computer - Dell, WinXP Home, SP2 already installed.  
Fixed initial problems (CD-RW wouldn't work, strange files in msconfig),
trying to clean up now.  Ran stinger - no virus.  Told it to run chkdsk /f.

I just replaced an old hard drive with a new hard drive out of my computer.
When i start my PC up the hard drive only shows Safe Mode and Normal Mode.
