Thank you for your help and information. I followed your instructions, using
delpart to delete the system partitions and fdisk where needed to create the
first new partition, and used Windows Disk Management tools where required.

Good morning.  Can someone tell me how I might find out which sound card I
have?  I have a Dell pc & according to them I have an Audio Software
Integrated Soundblaster & with the pc they supplied an Audigy Advanced MB

When I boot up my computer, everything looks fine.  When I open a program and
move my cursor into the program's window and click the blue active bar at the
top of the window changes to grey and my computer is vertially locked up.  It

My computer was on and i was away from it and i guess it tried to reboot
itself which has never happened before.
It then said "not a system disk" so i put in my XP System Recovery disk in

I installed SP3... and my OE disappeared.   Ran a restore 2 days ago and
backed up .dbx files so I have those.  But can find OE exe?
Any suggestions other than doing another restore and forgetting SP3?

Anyone know a way to reinstall Windows' HTTP API, need it up and running so I
