I have a Dell XPS system that is about 2 years old. It has 2 gb of ram also has a western digital 250 gb hard drive. I normally (stupidly keep my computer on all the time and never had any problems with any o my other 3 computers being left on (when they were new).

Microsoft Update on my desktop PC offered me XP SP3 so I installed it. Then I went to my old laptop, an IBM T30, but Microsoft Update didn't offer SP3. Is there a way to find out why this might be? If there's a good reason

Recently I have a complete system recovery performed due to bad problems. I saved OE6 store folder backup before system recovery. I now have new set of OE6 running and trying to import all older messages from store folder backup (.dbx files).

About 20 percent of my harddrive is occupies with svchost.exe.Numbers.hdmp files. They are located in c:\windows\pchealth\ErrorRep\UserDumps. They appear to be old reports on irregular shuttdown. Is it okay to delete these files?
