For the last month or so, I have been getting fairly consistent errors on
closing most applications (Internet explorer, Windows Explorer, Office apps,
Etc.).  Most of the apps that error are MS ones, but sometimes others do as

Funny Story.  Add or Remove programs simply stopped showing anything in its
programs list.  Just blank.  No message saying it would take a few minutes
to populate the list.  Nothing.  Changed sort options to see if I could wake
