I downloaded SP3 but I have not installed it because of Microsoft taking it
off their download page.  shoule I install it?  Will it be the same file
when Microsoft put it back on their Update page?

Have a Gateway Tablet Laptop.  It has suddenly started asking for a User ID
and Password to login to Windows XP.  The word "Owner" appears in the User ID
slot.
Never set this up & it rejects all password.  Completely locked out of system.
