Using WinXP SP2. I have a .DOC file on a floppy disk that somehow got
corrupted and can not be accessed. I get the error "disk not formatted".
      There are commercial file recovery utilities which cost money and

My computer has "crashed"  - in a way. I had just used it at 11pm two

I have something that keeps popping up everytime one of us log in. It keeps
saying Sonic activation module and then windows installer pops up and it says
preparing to install......i try to click the cancel button and or the Red X
to get rid of it and it keeps coming back OVER AND ...

Whilst trying to resolve a problem I performed a System Restore to a point on
1st June. I subsequently chose to undo that restore and now I have no restore
points beyond 1st July.
Is this normal?

Have another post (Re: virus! Need to remove.)  and one of the
troubleshooting steps is to log into the the recovery console on my winxp
installation disk and run some dos commands.  Unforunately the computer has
other ideas!  Won't boot to the cd, instead goes to the hard drive ...

I have a problem with a WinXP system that has an Iwill KA266Plus

I accidentally overwrote my NTFS partition with an EXT2 partition and
am trying to recover it.  I use Testdisk and everything seemed to go
well - I can see all the files in testdisk.  The problem is that

Fax Services require in order for Fax Console to recognize and fill in the

I’m not sure this is the correct group, I’m sure someone will be kind

Quite often I have no internet access. Switching the power off /on to
