My father is copying old home videos onto DVD (over 200 hours).  It is no small undertaking.  We have been putting it on the hard drive, using movie maker and then burning it to a DVD.  Then we erase the files off of the hard drive.

Cannot play DVD w/ WMP Series 9. I upgraded to XP from ME
and I guess I need to get a separate decoder.  I already
have WinDVD 3.

Whenever I try and play any video files (avi, mpg) the video shows way
too dark, I have a control panel for my video card (geforce fx5200), I
can adjust the brightness and gamma, however that does not affect the
video at all.

When I export my movie to my DV camera the result is crappy.  It is jumpy
like it is skipping or something.  I have a 1.6Ghz with 512MB Ram. Why would
this happen and how can I make it not happen?
