I put a movie file from a VHS to my comp, it came out good. I edit it, and
all that using Windows Movie Maker, I can see it and stuff on Windows Media,
but how can I get it on a DVD disc so I can see in on my TV dvd player. I

i am trying to come up with an external device for storing the original
movie clips, because i can see that i will quickly run out of hard drive
space <smile>.

hi people,
when recording my movie back on to my dv camcorder via firewire there are
short stutters in picture and sound ( 3 in a 12 min movie ) a kind of drop

When I import a home mpeg video I get only the sound, absolutely no video.  I can watch the video with Windows Media Player.

My display adapter is freaking me out... I have re-installed Windows XP Pro

Some of my video files like mpeg or avi files do run smoothly in any of
my video players in XP Pro. Yet they do play smoothly in my video
players in Win 98 SE. They also run well on my 400 mhz Toshiba Laptop.
I have a 2.5 gig AMD cpu with 512 megs ram. My video card is a Matrox

I converted and edited some VHS tapes to DVD-R format for use in an academic
setting (classroom). I found that my Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD
because a compatible DVD decoder (for the WM Player) is not installed on the

I have a Samsung 191T monitor and I am using the digital interface.  Even
though I set the screensaver/power options to turn the monitor off, it never
happens.

I experience several crashes in various media player programs like windows
mediaplayer, winamp, mediaportal
all crashes occur in the wmvcore.dll.

I am a high school teacher and last year, we made a highlight video in Movie
Maker.  It worked great.  But now this year, we have a problem with the
transitions.  For some reason, all of our transitions are GONE.  We have
