I am thinking of buying Ulead video editing software, and it has a
system requirement of directx 9.0.
I am currently using Roxio with version 8.1 without any apparent
problems.  What difference would it make to have directx version 9.0?

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I have now tried 7 times to edit a
captured piece of footage in Windows movie maker. It captures the footage -
no probs but the moment i attempt to apply any other feature, such as an
editing feature it just closes. I get no error message or ...

I am unable to transfer video produced on Windows movie maker to a cd.  I
receive a message, "the folder already contains a file named (whatever I
named it) Would you like to replace the existing file.  If I  say yes, I
received another message " windows encountered a problem ...

I am getting the same error message for a ton of my videos and have
downloaded so called packages to solve the problem but still has not fixed it

I already capture video by cameraphone Sony ericsson K700i. After I
transmitted the video to my PC and tried to watch it there was a reply from
Media Player ' can't play back the file. The file is not supported'.
Any of you can help me???

Everytime I make a movie everything goes fine until I try to add an effect or
something to the video and then it crashes to the desktop with no error
messag eor anything. What can I do to fix it?!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a large collection of vhs tapes some with sound and some without and I
would like to transfer them to DVD's and yes i have a dvd burner, and also I
have Instant DVD 2.0. My computer is the Dell "XPS".

Hi, I upgraded to wmp10 in WinXP and all I have is audio. I downloaded pretty
much every codec I could find, but still have the problem. All the videos
worked fine before I upgraded.... Any ideas??? Appreciate it.

Currently I am unable to capture video using Windows Movie Maker or MGI
Videowave 4.  If I restore my computer prior to installing SP2 the video
capture in Movie Maker works fine.  
I am able to control the camcorder from Movie Maker and begin the video

The software can only function with wmp9, but not wmp10,
a service pack should be given out to update the software.
