Hi, this is the first time I have ever ventured into a discussion group. Have
read them for so many years and always managed to find solutions in previous

I have a .mov file that I want to play on a DVD player that will play only
these file types: DVD, CD, MP3, Picture-CD, CD-R, CD-RW.  Is ther a way to
convert this .mov file to a format that will play on a DVD player?

Like many others of you I had a problem of getting my Sony DCR-TRV16E
recognized by Windows XP Professional. After spending several days looking
for a solution in the area of drivers and software I found that the connector

My Sony DV camcorder (trv 355e)is not recognised when I
plug it into the IEEE 1394 port of my ATI 8500 videocard
It is not the camcorder as I have bought two FireWire

When I try to see my video that I recieved from a friend, it won't play
because it says that I do not have the necessary codec downloaded.  I want to
convert it from avi format, but Windows Media Player should be able to play
avi movies.  What should I do?

Whenever I try to play, move, delete, rename, or even
sometimes just select a video file explorer crashes. This
only happens with video files. This started happening to me
after I installed Service Pack 2. Before I installed SP2 if

Have XP PRO, pannsonic dv cam, connect with a generic TI fireware
card.  Has worked fine for 2 years now.  Upgraded to SP2 and now cam

I can not use video power toys as it won't work with
media player 10, and having this newer version won't let
me download mp 9.

My JVC mini DV GR-D53AA has USB and Firewire output but my PC only has USB.  
Is there a way of using Movie Maker to capture and edit my movies via USB.  
The software supplied (ImageMaker) is not very user friendly but captures the
taped movies via USB and lets me edit to a point ...
