I am totally new to Video capture and MM2. I have a digital JVC camera which came with a cable that hooks into the camera and then into a Firewire slot of my computer. I never bought a firewire card and wonder what it does and whether I even need one.

I have a shared DVD drive on another PC. I figure I have to get MP to recognize the drive mapping on my PC as a DVD drive in order to play it? I have downloaded a DVD plug-in but I cant seem to figure this out... anyone know the answer?

i have tried to download film i done on camcorder, it was 1 hours worth of film and took 3 hours to download,however when i burnt it to disc it only captured 19 minutes of film how do i download, i havent got firewire connections
