I used my dvd recorder to make a dvd from some old VHS-C cassettes played in my vcr. Now I want to import these files to make a home movie with windows movie maker 2. The files are .vob, .bup, and .iso types. They won't import. What am I doing wrong, or not doing?

1 month ago i could play dvds, then XP upgraded my media player from 9 to 10 and now i cant play dvds it says something about a decoder, but i dont understand if i could play dvds before why cant i play them now

Am attempting a dual monitor setup on a new (4 mos) Dell Dimension 8250 P4 running XP Pro with Dell OEM Nvidia G Force 4 MX 420 video card running Nvidia driver version 3082 (seems to be the most compatible with Direct 3D games for this card anyway).

Has anyone else had an issue where Movie Maker just closes out as soon as you try and click on a transition or effect? I can't even make a movie because when try and select any effect or transition the program closes

I'm setting up a new video editing system. I currently own eight 250GB Western Digital Special Edition (8mb buffer) HD and a two 74 gig Raptor 10,000 rpm SATA HD. I guess my question here is what's the ideal stripe size i should use.

First when I open movie maker, it says 'the device is already in use, plase close any other application...' when there arent any open, when I go on it says 'An interface has too many methods to fire events from' !?! please help, regards, Doug

Hi - I have been using Movie Maker for a few weeks just fine. I ran out of memory and had to save a movie to CD. Now, I can't seem to find a way to change the settings when I Save to My COmputer to save it back into Movie Maker files.

Graham, I executed the "regsvr32..." command but the problem persists! Any other idea? Is this a DirectShow issue? Is there a way to log or debug it more closely (Graphfilter)?

I have video files on my hard drive in Jpeg format. Each video is about 220Mb and 25 minutes long. I've had a go at burning one file to a DVD+RW disc but it takes about 6-8 hours using the Nero package software and the menu option 'create a DVD disc'. Should it take this long? ...
