This one has me stumped,i had a new mother board and cpu installed,and of course a fresh install of windows,did all my updates for windows,video,sound etc,but am unable to play WoW says i dont have the proper drivers to access Direct3D did the dxdiag and this is what is says.

Neither my media player nor realplayer can play the video file in *.avi format, only music can be heard with a blank screen. When using Realplayer Plus, the error message is "Unable to render video; DX50 decompressor not found"

My Sony laptop is supposed to play videos, but when I try to play one, it tells me there is no disc inserted. It plays music fine, but will not recognize a movie video. Any ideas?
