I have a Sharp VL-23 miniDV camera.
I am running WinXP SP2 with a recognized IEEE 1394 firewaire card with Texas

to download video from my Sony PC105E PAL camcorder,
I get a 12Gb .avi file with beautifully clear sound.
However, when I edit clips from that file with WMM2,

I was wondering if there was a way to send a video to a specific server? (one
not in the list). My company has a Windows Streaming Media Server and i want
to publish my video to that computer. Is that possible using that feature?

Hello forum,
I needed to select 256 colors and had some difficulty.
I selected via: Display properties > Settings Tab >Advanced Button >Adapter
tab>List all Modes Button  (I was doing this, not to start a game, but

Recently when I try to play an avi on wmp10 I only get the video and no
sound. When I look at the error it says I am missing a codec and tells me to
look for FourCC identifier 11 or Wave format 11. Does anyone know where I
can get this from? Or what my problem is?

Hatachi DZ-MV580a camcorder. Is there a usb & a firewire connection on the
camcorder. I thought the firewire & usb cable plugged into the same port?

I have a user with XPPro whose desktop, text, buttons ... everything is
completey black EXCEPT for her desktop icons. Even when she opens a program
it is completely black.
