This may be an idiotically simple question, but what program can I use to
bring DV files off a DV camera tape into my computer as DV files? I do not
want them converted to avi file format, nor to wmv format. I want them in DV
format so I can work on them directly in QuickTime Pro ...

I have gone back to posts in October and tried everything I can to get my DV
camcorder to work again.
I have a pc which used to capture without any probs. Since I last captured I
have installed many things including SP2.

I have a couple of cool screensavers that I would like to put on a DVD so I
can play them on my TV, kind of like those fake aquariums and fire places.
Is there any way I can transfer them to DVD?

burned dvd for my computer, it wont play on my dvd player, but will play on
other dvd players. burned same movie, same dvd+r, program, etc., from

Hi, when I capture from my panasonic pv-gs120 dv link at video res of 720x480
using avi or mpeg2, the playback on my pc has a high pitched audio sound in
the background that is not on the original tape.  This does not happen when I
capture using lower pixel res of 640x480 and ...

I have made a 20 min. movie in MM and added some music.
The movie plays nice in MM from beginning to end
including music , but when saving as DV-PAL to hard disc
MM stops at 80% and gives a error message that the movie

I share a system with my father.  When he logs in, he changes display
resolution to 800x600.  When I'm logged in, I use 1024x768.  I would like to
