I just started using MM2.1 yesterday and I captured a 1hr long video from my
dvcam. The file size is about 12G (saved under DV-AVI). I am planning to use
Nero and I am wondering if it will burn to dvd. Can Nero compress the file??

I got this understanding reading some posts from JK and Rehan that after
editing movie in WMM and converting it into DV-AVI, you can directly burn it
on the DVD with DVD software. so Which is best DVD software that can handle

i can't figure this one out...i've captured once...from a dv vid cam thru
firewire...now no preview/sometimes not recognized/no capture at
all/error-wdm drivers or no start...yet all controls work/most of the time
the cam is recognised and moviemaker(i've tried them all) goes ...

I have a dvd player on my Sony Vaio.  Shouldn't this drive be able to burn
dvd's also.  I use Nero 6 to make dvd's, however I don't get an option to
choose whether I pick cd/dvd.  I only get CD.  When I tried to burn my movie
to a dvd, the drive won't recognize that disk.  

Is there anything that can be done to stop moviemaker
from introducing an audio glitch when it begins
transitions.  The video transitions look good but the
glitches in the audio require me to re-render the movie

When I download a movie all I get is a long file
consisting of alphanumeric code. I have Microsoft
Media Player as well as Apple Quicktime Pro player.
