Had to do a complete reformat (due to user stupidity) and reinstall
everything.
I'm at the point of choosing which CD/DVD burning software - I have both
Nero 6 and Roxio Easy Media 7 available.

How can I copy video files from my sony dcrdvd92 disks to my hard drive and
then burn onto a dvd?  Apparently firewire and usb cable are not an option
for this model.  I've had mixed results using a copy and paste method.

Hi,  I cannot get audio on my movie if I capture the video with movie maker.  
I have tried it with Nero and have no problems.
Have checked all the audio settings I can find in movie maker and still no
success.  Can any one help me on how to capture video and audio when making

The only option I have when I click, file, save as is the " *.mswmm"  format.
My understanding is to play the movie in a DVD player I need the option to
save in the DV-AVI format.  How is this accomplished?
