finally able toget back every thing except sound...i dont see any

I have an NVidia GeForce MX 4000, and I am trying to use the VIDEO OUT
to watch video clips on my television (through Media Player).  I have
it on CLONE, and I have a picture on both my monitor and the
television.  It seems to be working fine -- every window I have open on

can any one tell me what I need to transfer some old video's to dvd I have
windows dvd creator program but don't know what cable I need to link my vcr
to my laptop I have tried a ulead  usb instant video creator but with no luck

When i insert a dvd in my dvd burner it converts to cd drive(e) and i cannot
burn anything or play anything. I will then put a cd in the dvd burner and
it does the opposite, turns back to dvd drive (e).
My burner is a LG dvd ram RW 4x

My PC is running Windows XP Home with SP2, 500Mhz Celeron chip, 192Mb Ram,
80GB C Drive, 40Gb D drive, NEC ND2510A DVD/CD rewriter.

when using windows movie maker the computer just freezes and I have to shut
it down , I have been using movie maker up untill now without any probs, it
goes for about 5 mins before crashing , any IDEAS?

When I turn on overlays, the colors of the video go all funny and
incorrect. it has with all my video players. If I try to have no
hardware acceleration then the colors are back to normal but it doesnt
allow me to go to full screen. My Video card is an S3 Graphics

I have been working with Roxio 7.0 DVD Builder.   In creating my DVD menu, I
have added my own background music.   I noticed that the max time is 30
seconds.   Is there a way around this?  Other than most people should not be
on the menu for long, is there a reason for the 30 ...

I am replaying movies copied from TV, but when I play them with Moviemaker
it is not possible to adjust the brightness/contrast.
