I have a Sony DVR201 and imported my files into WMM and everytime I go to add
transitions the package freezes?  What is wrong

Not sure if this is the right group. I'm trying to connect a Sony TRV530
camcorder via FireWire 1394 cable to harvest video. I did this many months
ago, but now it doesn't want to work. I cannot get WinXP to recognize the

Im trying to capture video from ny Canon min-DV camcorder with WMM. It's set
to AVI, the camera is recognized, etc. - starts capturing video for between 1

As I am a new comer to the Movie Making world I am not sure what (IEEE 1394
port) is?  Do I have to purchase it??  Will it help me connect my camcorder

Hi folks...I,m new to this d/v revolution and have just installed a firewire
port on my p.c. However , after plugging in my camcorder ( sanyo digital
viewcam ) thru a d/v lead into the firewire port ....nothing at all happens.

i need help urgently on "Windows Movie Maker".....i use my office pc to open
a clip which is in "dat" format. which the Movie Maker version is in 2.1...an
error message appeared that "it cannot support the "dat" file format....

My system (see below) has completely lost the ability to play video files,
