I have a Sony DVR201 and imported my files into WMM and everytime I go to add

Not sure if this is the right group. I'm trying to connect a Sony TRV530
camcorder via FireWire 1394 cable to harvest video. I did this many months
ago, but now it doesn't want to work. I cannot get WinXP to recognize the
camcorder. This is what I've done so far...

ok, i'm making a cheesey rock video with my songs. when i'm in windows movie
maker the music and the video of me singing is in sync perfectly, but when i

As I am a new comer to the Movie Making world I am not sure what (IEEE 1394
port) is?  Do I have to purchase it??  Will it help me connect my camcorder
to my computer so I can capture my movies?

Hi folks...I,m new to this d/v revolution and have just installed a firewire
port on my p.c. However , after plugging in my camcorder ( sanyo digital
viewcam ) thru a d/v lead into the firewire port ....nothing at all happens.
If anybody has a clue I would love to hear from you ...

I have some movie files on my computer and everytime I try to play them
either windows explorer crashes without opening my player or with the player
opened the movie plays for a while then Windows Media Player crashes. Does

I have an avi movie with AC3 sound. Now I want to shrink this movie (in order to let it fit onto a CD).
Which tools can I use to achieve this task (to re-encode this movie at another bitrate resp audio level)?
If the movie would use MP3 I could use VirtualDub and DivX (6.0).

Dear users...
i need help urgently on "Windows Movie Maker".....i use my office pc to open
a clip which is in "dat" format. which the Movie Maker version is in 2.1...an
