I make the occasional brief WMV file using 'movie' mode of my digital
camera. These play on my PC. (BTW, I used to use WMP, but
re-associated WMV with IrfanView a while ago. I'm puzzled why IV
always seems oddly reluctant to start; it normally shows a blank

Still having probs with my computer (crashing and rebooting during

I use windows MM2 to edit home moves and then Sonic mydvd ver 5.2.  Have
found that it locks up after 10 minutes of  video encoding.  Tried version 6
but same issue.  no error messages. I have 512 mg RAM, large 700 mg paging
file, (1500 mg max).  I used to use ver  5 and only ...

Apple's quicktime has somehow become my default media player.  Does anyone
know how I can set the windows player back as my default?

I'm at my wits end! I have been trying to use Movie Maker to edit some
clips i took on holiday. I have managed to import the files but when I
drag them onto the time frame thingy the whole program freezes and I
can not do anything else.

My Toshiba Satellite A-30 reads some Video-DVD win WinDVD 4.0 with
interruptions: it suddenly stops showing the film (sometimes also the
sound, but not always) and then continues, sometimes first with a

After I have composed and saved my project my problem is this:
I want to save movie to CD.  However, it says a recordable CD drive was not
detected.  I have done everything I know to do but I cannot save to CD.  I
