I have copied some old videos to Dvd attaching a video player to a Dvd
player. The discs play through the dvd player on the Tv, but they will not
play on my computer, is it a different format and if so can I get software
to overcome this. Thank you.

When I try to burn a DVD using my DVD Recorder it tells me that "DMA" is
turned off and that I need to turn it on.  It suggests using Windows Help to
do so, but that gets me nowhere.  How do I turn it on?

I am currently using 10.00.00.3802, when I load a pre-recorded DVD (not
pirate copy) I can hear the sound but no pictures. I have tried WINDVD and
Real Player and none seem to work.
I don't get an error within WMP but I get a "can't create overlay image -

Somwhere in the process of updating XP I have encountered an update that
killed any video capture using any capture software and Pinnacle Moviebox DV
firewire version. I have narrowed the problem down after reloading aboput 12
times to a handful of possible updates.

Hi, Can anyone help? I would like with my very limited knowledge to copy from
my camcorder to the computer to save on dvd. However my camcorder is a
ferguson pro8-220(a bit old) it doesn't have a usb connection. I have read

I am having trouble saving my edited videos back onto a DV tape.  They are
saving onto the DV tape but they are very chopy, and out of sync.  The video
stutters, the sound does not match the video.  
On occasion it runs chopy and out of sync in the program while editing.  But

I have a dvd from my holiday and i want to copy it for my friends to dvd or
vcd. I have windows xp but iam unable to work it out. I was hoping someone
could help.

window.  I suspect this involves making a call to invoke a flash plugin at a
coordinate within the window while specifying a movie ...

I think someone has posted a similar problem on this. I used to be able to
view movies perfectly, but all of a sudden all I get is sound and no picture.
This applies also to my DVD's using the player, and these are DVD's which
have worked on this machine before. Please help?

My old pc was a Pentium 200, with also 128 RAM, but it played full
screen videos without problem. The OS was Win98.
Should I uninstall WinXp on the new PC and install Win98?

I just bought a laptop and the dvd player uses 8x speed discs and up.  The
problem I am having is that I have a dvd recorder that records 4x discs and I
can't view them on the laptop.  The 4x dvd's will start playing in the laptop
but then freeze up after a few minutes and any ...

Hi EAG1945, Thanks for the info which I have tried, my sound was enabled
on the bios (why I didn't notice before I don't know). It helped a bit
she isn't crashing as much but she could be better i'm thinking of
replacing the motherboard and the psu as that is only a 300w thinking
