I am trying to capture video from my jvc camcorder but it will not capture
the video. It is saying that the video was not captured correctly and to make
sure the computer and camcorder are configured properly?????????? Also I am

When I use movie maker it will copy video from my camcorder to my computer.
However it will not open the AVI files.
I can open them with media player and edit them with Ulead.
Also mpeg files produced by Ulead crash explorer when I go to folder that

I have not been able to view the movie I burned to a CDR disc despite reading
all the troubleshooting, and working over 8 hours on a 6 minute movie.  
Finally a friend transferred the movie to her program and we then could view

What is the difference between the various video file extensions - .avi,
.dat, .mpeg etc.? I notice .avi files take up a considerably larger space
