How do I save movies from my DVD-Rom to my hard drive?  I have some DVD's
that are not "protected".  I have downloaded XP Codec Pack.

I have a DVD player that supports WMV format. I tried different DVD creating
software (namely the adobe and sony one) but all of them seem to convert my
video files to MPEG-2. This is lenghty process and since my DVD player can
already play WMV it's probably unnecessary too.  ...

I have a Matrox video board that enables me to feed an analog video signal
to my PC and acquire sequences from VCR, cam etc....the video acquiisition
software (ie microsoft movie maker or adobe) only display a rather small
control monitor.

I have Roxio DVD creater and would like to make some DVD from windows meadia
filn clips. Is there a software program I can download to do this. I am
running a Dell desktop with Pentium 4 software with windows XP.

I can't get my TV out to work  I have everything hooked up S-Video to my TV
but I can't turn on the S-Video.  I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700.  I want
to play movies on my Laptop through my TV.  Please Advise.  Thanks

I have Windows Media Player 10 and can play all the files except for .avi
files. Whenever I try to play the files I don't get a picture I just get the
sound. I looked up the problem on the microsoft.com site and it says to do

running sp2.  1st time i connected the camcorder xp detected the camera and
i successfully downloaded video into Windows Movie Maker.  The connection was
IEEE1394.  All subsequent attempts to connect the camcorder are not detected
by xp.  same thing happened when i connected ...

Is there a way to connect a gamming console, game cube, to a PC running
windows XP without using a software that captures video for DVD burning?

I have bought a Sony Handycam DCR HC19 + Sony Picture Package. My system

After transferring my vhs to dvd on a panasonic dmr-ez40r burner, I have
been unable to  capture the video off my harddrive.  I can play them but
