I bought this PC about 2.5 years ago. It came with an Nvidia graphics card

I did not have this problem with WMP v9, but whenever I attempt to play a

The video i have on my computer is in an .avi, but a message popped up
saying, "Cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is
not installed on your computer."

does not recognize the ADS DVD Xpress unit it have to capture video from vcr.
i use this with Ulead MovieFactory with no problem.

According to my video card company, ATI Radeon, the new drivers installed
new codecs and replaced some others.. that is why Moviemaker can no longer
open certain files. They suggested I hunt down the old codecs and try to
